They describe themselves as a chain of specialty coffee shops. Well, I’m definitely not a fan of chains and normally avoid these as there are plenty of artisan coffee shops to choose from and this one being located in a supermarket seemed like a no no at first. But as it happens at some point having a desperate urge for coffee we got it and found ourselves popping in there regularly before doing our shopping or even decided to do our shopping in particular store for the sake of getting a cuppa at Harris & Hoole.
And I have to admit – specialty coffee does the trick wherever you are despite location or ambience. The interior is contemporary with a lot of wood details and even some sort of umbrella thing above your head makes it enclosed, cosy and welcoming to hang around.
They do micro lots of seasonally sourced coffee from specific regions roasted in their own roastery in London so depending how often you visit you get to taste different house espresso and filters. Love the tube packaging of the beans too.
Shout out to the staff.
